AUSTRALASIA ROUNDTABLE 2023
CAIRNS (CNS), QUEENSLAND, Australia
31 MAY – 2 JUNE, 2023
Ailevon Pacific Aviation Consulting is proud to deliver the 2023 RoundTable for destination marketing and route development in the Asia Pacific region, in Cairns, from 31 May to June 2. The Australasian Roundtables are the most intimate and accessible marketing and route development event for airports, destination marketing organisations and other key stakeholders. Participants interact with industry counterparts and airline representatives in an intimate setting that encourages conversation and a constructive learning engagement.
About the Roundtable
There’s no peddling! We allow our sponsors Cairns Airport a quick presentation and that’s it! The rest the time, its airlines talking about what they see in the industry, what their plans are and what they hope to achieve with new services and opportunities for growth. For the airlines the benefit is they can tell the group what sort of routes they’re interested in what sort of support structures they require, and what their fleet availability looks like, etc. So, by the time you see them next at routes or at the next headquarter office meetings that are planned, your all set to know what an airline needs from you. Airlines tell us that it makes the proposals for growth from airports/destination marketing organisations more targeted to their strategic position and aligns with what their internal stakeholders at each airline need.
The earlier Australasia RoundTables in 2016, 2018, 2019 and 2022 had great feedback which is why we’re doing it again each year and we’re proud to partner with Cairns Airport in delivery this event. These RoundTables are designed to help clients, non-clients and airlines have much more fruitful air service development conversations. As an industry we just don’t have enough opportunities share knowledge, build relationships, and make the air service development process more effective and enjoyable for all involved. Which is why we’re planning to have at least one RoundTable each year. Attendees love these RoundTables, our airlines love them and we think it helps when we get to hear from airlines what their needs are, directly. Almost always, participants take something unique out of the event: perhaps a conversation over a drink with a network planner or a contact from another airport who’s done what you’re about to do. We limit participation to a maximum of 40 people so there are plenty of opportunities for quality interactions. But it does mean, we almost always sell out the event.

Quotes
“Thanks for a well-organized RoundTable. I enjoyed it a lot. And business opportunities have flowed from presenting and being present.”
– Kim Rasmussen, Chief Executive Officer, Tasman Cargo Airlines
“The RoundTable was outstanding; both for content and array of speakers. For a small regional airport — where else do you get the insights, exposure to airline decision makers and planners all in one place in such an intense 2 days! Well done! Sign me up for the next one, before all the other regional airports discover how good this is to attend!”
Dave Batic, Chief Executive Officer, Port Hedland International Airport
Note: We are closely monitoring the COVID-19 situation. If there are a surge in cases and/or changes in local regulations that will change our event, up to and including cancellation, we will notify you. Just like the airlines, we will provide a voucher for a future Roundtable event.
